The former McNeill pumping station preserves an industrial side of Shreveport's history. Large machinery and the surviving works setting help visitors understand how supplying and treating water depended on the engineering systems that supported a growing city.

Allow time to look at the equipment and its interpretation rather than treating the station as an exterior landmark. Check current access and tour arrangements before arriving, particularly if you have mobility needs around the historic machinery.
