Udvar-Hazy Center presents aircraft and spacecraft in large exhibition hangars near Chantilly. This Smithsonian aviation destination is a separate campus from the National Air and Space Museum building on Washington’s National Mall.
Check current opening, arrival and parking guidance for the Virginia site before travelling. The photograph shows the B-17 Flying Fortress Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby on display at the center rather than an aircraft available for a visitor flight. Allow substantial time for the hangars, and confirm separately any special activities or experiences. Follow current museum security and photography guidance throughout the visit.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
