Tingley Beach combines fishing ponds, waterside paths and wildlife observation near Albuquerque’s Rio Grande Bosque.

Its landscaped setting offers an accessible urban outdoor outing, with different ponds serving fishing and designated model-boating activities rather than ordinary beach swimming.
General access is free and first-come, with no timed-entry reservation. Fishing requires the appropriate New Mexico license and compliance with each pond’s rules. Swimming and wading are prohibited. The train station and café are currently closed, so bring water and check current notices before expecting indoor services. Keep dogs leashed and avoid disturbing waterfowl.
