Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge protects prairie and wetland habitat within Arvada's urban landscape.

Walking and wildlife observation provide an opportunity to notice birds, plants, and seasonal changes close to surrounding neighborhoods. The photograph shows a pond landscape within the refuge, whose available routes are currently affected by restoration.
The east side is closed until May 1, 2027 for wetland restoration. Check current refuge alerts and the routes that remain open before setting out, and stay behind all barriers. Keep wildlife undisturbed and follow refuge restrictions rather than assuming the same activities allowed in an ordinary city park are permitted here.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
