Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site preserves White Haven, the Missouri home associated with Grant, Julia Dent Grant and the Dent family.

The National Park Service interprets family life, slavery and the experiences that shaped Grant’s later public career.
Plan a visit using the park’s current visitor and tour information. The historic house and museum provide different parts of the story, and access to the interior follows ranger-led arrangements. The photograph shows White Haven’s distinctive green exterior. This National Park Service site is a separate destination from nearby Grant’s Farm; use the official directions to reach the correct visitor entrance.
