Walter S. Lovelace Park combines a pond, open recreation grounds and tree-lined paths near Evanston’s western edge.

The mixture of planted areas and sports space makes it useful for both a short walk and a planned outdoor activity.
The photograph shows the actual park. Consult current city notices for pathway work and facility conditions; the city lists a half-mile park circuit. Courts, fields and larger picnics have separate reservation arrangements. Do not disturb pond wildlife or enter habitat planting. Keep dogs leashed, share routes with other visitors and check seasonal services before relying on restrooms or water facilities.
