Wylie House Museum preserves the 1835 home of Indiana University’s first president in Bloomington.

The restored house and interpretive gardens connect university history with the domestic lives of the families and workers associated with the property.
Public access follows Indiana University Libraries’ current guided-tour schedule, with closures during major holidays and university breaks. Check available tours before arriving and contact the museum for larger groups. The historic house’s upper floor is reached by stairs, while alternative interpretation is available; consult the museum if you need specific access arrangements.
