Wyoming State Museum in Cheyenne presents the state’s natural and cultural history through objects and interpretive exhibits.

Displays connect landscapes, wildlife and communities with the changing ways people have lived and worked in Wyoming.
Check current opening arrangements and state-holiday closures before visiting. Allow time to read the interpretation and explore subjects beyond the most familiar frontier stories. The museum is in the Barrett Building on Central Avenue, separate from the nearby Capitol. Educational programs and collection research have different arrangements from ordinary gallery access.
