A College Avenue apartment example

The Collegiate at 2828 College Avenue has one-bedroom apartments with on-site laundry, controlled entry and parking. Kasa’s property page lists dishwashers, electric ranges and Sonic fiber readiness.

On October 21, 2026, the manager’s published rent range is $2,195–$2,695, with a deposit equal to one month’s rent and a $45 application fee. Its terms say base rent is adjusted for utilities according to occupancy. Pets under 80 pounds are allowed with pet rent, but the page does not specify the monthly pet charge.

College Avenue bus connections

AC Transit’s 51B follows College Avenue between Rockridge BART and the campus’s south side, then runs through downtown Berkeley and along University Avenue to Berkeley Amtrak or the Marina. The operator publishes separate weekday, Saturday and Sunday/holiday schedules. Rockridge-bound and Marina/Amtrak-bound buses serve different directions along the corridor.

Adult local fares for ages 19–64 are $2.75 with Clipper or a contactless bank card and $3 cash. The electronic local daily maximum is $6, while a cash local day pass costs $6.50. These are bus fares; a BART journey has its own charge.

Claremont Branch hours

Claremont Branch Library is at 2940 Benvenue Avenue, by Ashby Avenue. Regular hours are Monday, Friday and Saturday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m.–8 p.m.; and Thursday noon–8 p.m. It is closed Sundays.

The branch has no parking lot. Its directions page identifies metered street parking and lists the 51B among nearby bus services. The branch desk number is 510-981-6280. Holiday closures and occasional late openings appear on the branch calendar separately from the regular weekly hours.

Short-stay parking on Russell Street

The city’s Elmwood Parking Lot is on the 2600 block of Russell Street at College Avenue. It has 36 spaces, with payment required Monday–Saturday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m. The posted price is $2.25 an hour and the stay limit is three hours.

A two-hour stay at the posted hourly rate is $4.50.

Accessible screenings at the Rialto

Rialto Cinemas Elmwood is at 2966 College Avenue at Ashby. The operator identifies the main ground-floor auditorium and its restroom as ADA accessible. Screenings in that auditorium are marked with a wheelchair symbol in the listings.

Closed-caption and descriptive-narration devices are available in all three auditoriums for films that supply those features. For a particular title or auditorium, the theater’s office is 510-540-6482.

Willard Park and clubhouse

Willard Park at 2730 Hillegass Avenue has a large lawn, picnic space, an enclosed play area, restrooms and two reservable tennis courts. The city lists park hours as 6 a.m.–10 p.m., unless otherwise indicated. It is a neighborhood recreation space within the residential streets away from the College Avenue shopping strip.

The Willard Clubhouse has a separate address, 2720 Hillegass Avenue, and hosts recreation activities and event rentals. The city provides rental dates, fees and site visits through its recreation coordinator at 510-981-5144. General park hours do not establish access to a booked room or a scheduled program.
