Residential streets around Veterans Boulevard

Osgood lies in southwest Fargo around Veterans Boulevard, with the golf course to its west and residential streets extending east toward 45th Street South. The City dates the start of neighborhood construction to 2004. Apartments on the 44th Avenue corridor sit alongside a wider area of residential streets and open space.

The golf course, Osgood Park and Hornbacher’s are separate destinations across this area. Their addresses help distinguish a home near the grocery corridor from one farther into the residential streets.

Townsite rents include utilities except electricity

Osgood Townsite Apartments, at 4901 44th Avenue South, offers one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts. The operator lists utilities included except electricity, free high-speed internet, in-unit washers and dryers, double-stall garages, dishwashers and balconies or patios. Electricity remains a separate household expense.

The operator qualifies its amenities by layout and building location. Some two- and three-bedroom plans have furnished options; vaulted ceilings are limited to selected apartments. Secure package lockers and a playground are listed among the community facilities. These are Townsite’s advertised features rather than a description of every Osgood rental.

Route 18 connects Osgood with downtown and Essentia

MATBUS Route 18 serves Hornbacher’s Osgood and connects with Essentia Hospital, Microsoft, Walmart and the downtown Ground Transportation Center. The official route page lists departures from downtown every 60 minutes, with service Monday–Friday from 6:15 a.m.–10:15 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:15 a.m.–10:15 p.m. Those are route operating spans, not the time of the last pickup at every stop.

Hornbacher’s is at 4151 45th Street South, along the neighborhood’s eastern grocery corridor. It offers produce, meat and seafood, a pharmacy, grocery delivery and parcel pickup. Bus service does not run Sundays, so a Sunday shopping trip requires another option.

Osgood Park: play areas and a shelter without reservations

Osgood Park is at 4951 47th Street South, farther south than the 44th Avenue apartment corridor. The Park District lists a playground for ages 5–12, a junior disc golf course, basketball, soccer and multipurpose fields, plus recreational trails.

Grills, picnic tables and a shelter support a short outing close to home. The shelter is non-reservable, unlike rentable shelters elsewhere in Fargo; an organized gathering cannot secure it through the Park District’s reservation system.
