About Fremont East
Fremont East is a downtown Las Vegas entertainment district east of Las Vegas Boulevard, with bars, restaurants and shops along Fremont Street and nearby blocks. It continues beyond the Fremont Street Experience’s covered pedestrian area. Downtown Container Park at Fremont and Seventh adds open-air shopping, dining and a children’s play area.
East from Las Vegas Boulevard toward Eighth Street
Fremont East occupies the blocks east of Las Vegas Boulevard toward Eighth Street, between Ogden and Carson avenues. Bars, restaurants and shops line this entertainment district beside the older downtown casino corridor.
The Fremont Street Experience’s covered pedestrian area lies to the west. The November 2015 photograph looks northwest beneath a Fremont East arch toward that neighboring area.
Container Park at Fremont and Seventh
Downtown Container Park is at 707 Fremont Street, on the corner of Fremont and Seventh. Its open-air shops and restaurants surround a central gathering space with a stage and the Treehouse children’s play area.
The park’s large Mantis sculpture gives fire performances, weather permitting. There is no on-site parking; the operator lists nearby lots and a short loading zone for accessible pickup and drop-off.
The Sixth Street Loop stop and nearby museum connection
The free Downtown Loop’s Fremont East stop is on Sixth Street north of Fremont Street. The shuttle connects this part of downtown with the Arts District, Bonneville Transit Center and other downtown destinations.
For the Mob Museum, the Loop stop is on Stewart Avenue west of Third Street, outside Fremont East’s core blocks. The city also identifies Deuce bus connections at Bonneville Transit Center, the Mob Museum and The STRAT for onward travel toward the Strip.
