About Riverpark

Riverpark combines residential streets and apartments with The Collection’s shops and groceries. Apartment parking and pet charges, ongoing CFD 5 property charges, Route 17 stops and Rio school enrollment are useful starting points for a move here.

Apartment parking, laundry and pet charges

Serenade at RiverPark, at 700 Forest Park Boulevard, is one apartment option in the neighborhood. Its operator lists full-size washers and dryers, central heating and air conditioning, and one assigned parking space or private garage for each apartment. Some upgraded finishes and fireplaces are limited to selected homes.

The published pet policy allows up to two cats or dogs, with breed restrictions, no pet deposit and $85 per pet in monthly pet rent, checked October 24, 2026. For two pets that adds $170 a month to the base rent. These are Serenade’s terms; other Riverpark rentals have their own parking and animal arrangements.

CFD 5 adds a property-charge check to a home purchase

RiverPark’s Community Facilities District 5 funds services including park and sports-field maintenance, storm protection and police protection. The city describes it as a non-bonded maintenance district that does not expire.

The city’s FY 2026–27 special-tax resolution includes a parcel-by-parcel billing report. Use the home’s address and parcel number to find its charge when reviewing ownership costs; a neighborhood-wide average would hide the differences between parcels.

Route 17 connects Riverpark with Esplanade and Oxnard College

Gold Coast Transit’s Route 17 serves stops at Oxnard Boulevard and Clyde River, Forest Park and Riverpark, Riverpark and American River, and Riverpark and Vineyard. It links this area with Esplanade and Oxnard College via the Rose Avenue corridor.

The northbound and southbound stop lists differ. At Esplanade, passengers can transfer to Routes 6 and 15; Oxnard College connects with Routes 7, 8 and 23. Both endpoints also have VCTC connections. A journey beyond the Route 17 corridor may therefore involve a transfer.

A grocery stop at The Collection

Whole Foods Market is at 650 Town Center Drive in The Collection. The store lists 7 a.m.–10 p.m. hours every day, with bakery, butcher and prepared-food services. Grocery pickup is available through Amazon for Prime members. This puts a full grocery shop in the Riverpark commercial center, alongside its restaurants and entertainment.

Dog-park renovation closure and court repairs

At the October 24, 2026 review, the city’s CFD 5 page lists the sports courts at Crescent and Windrow parks as temporarily closed for resurfacing and restriping, with courts at Vineyard and East parks open. It also lists the Central Park fountain as out of service.

Windrow Dog Park is closed October 19–November 30 for renovation and maintenance, with reopening planned for December 1, according to the live city notice checked October 24, 2026. Its usual Thursday-morning maintenance closure applies separately. Park restrooms close from dusk to dawn; current repair questions go to Special Districts at 805-385-7578.

Thames River campuses and address-based school enrollment

The city’s Riverpark neighborhood flyer places the area between the Santa Clara River, Highway 101, the city limits and the Detroit/Thames/Vineyard edge. Its council meeting venue is Rio Vista Middle School at 3050 Thames River Drive. Rio Del Mar, at 3150 Thames River, is a nearby public elementary campus in the Rio district.

Rio’s 2026–27 enrollment page links its school finder and separates TK/kindergarten registration from grades 1–8. It lists Rio Del Mar as TK–5 and Rio Vista as 6–8. The council map describes a neighborhood; the district’s address finder and enrollment office determine the school route for a particular home.
