Chesapeake Arboretum combines mature hardwood forest, walking trails, and demonstration gardens on Oak Grove Road.

Bridges cross the stream within the woodland, while the farmhouse area and themed plantings add horticultural interest. It offers an outdoor introduction to local trees and habitats within the city.
Use the current trail map to choose among the loops and connecting paths, and plan to finish before the park closes at sunset. Conditions can be muddy after rain, so wear suitable footwear. Stay on marked routes and check arrangements separately for gazebo reservations or organized programs.
