Chopin Park provides recreation grounds around a historic fieldhouse in Chicago’s Portage Park community.

Named for composer Frédéric Chopin, the site reflects the Polish heritage of the neighborhood in which it developed.
The photograph shows the actual park. Sports fields, courts and a playground support outdoor visits, while classes and fieldhouse activities follow separate registration and opening arrangements. The spray feature is seasonal. Use current district notices for equipment conditions, reservations and maintenance. General outdoor access does not authorize entry to booked rooms. Respect scheduled games, share paths and keep clear of work areas.
Visitor details reviewed October 26, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
