Church Street Historic District preserves an older residential streetscape in Wauwatosa.

Queen Anne, Prairie and Gothic influences contribute to the varied houses and other historic buildings along the designated blocks. The photograph shows actual homes and mature street trees in the district.
Use National Register boundaries and current city maps to plan an exterior architecture walk. Homes remain occupied, and designation does not provide admission to private interiors, gardens or porches. Respect residents’ privacy, keep driveways and steps clear and use public sidewalks. Religious or institutional buildings have separate visitor arrangements, and any announced heritage tour should be booked directly with its organizer.
Visitor details reviewed October 27, 2026. Consult primary place information for background, and confirm current access and operating arrangements before visiting. View on OpenStreetMap.
