Cogswell Plaza, Palo Alto
- Park
- Palo Alto
Cogswell Plaza provides a shaded downtown retreat on Lytton Avenue in Palo Alto.

Originally City Hall Park, the space was redesigned and named for newspaper editor Elinor Cogswell, who helped defend its continued use as a park.
The photograph shows the actual plaza sign and planting. Use the public paths for a quiet break among the surrounding streets, following current city opening and maintenance notices. The park is distinct from nearby Lytton Plaza on University Avenue. Reserved gatherings and community activities have separate arrangements. Respect planted beds, neighboring premises and any occupied event spaces, keeping entrances and shared routes clear.
