Birdcraft Museum and Sanctuary combines a small natural-history museum with a protected songbird habitat in Fairfield.

Founded in 1914, the Connecticut Audubon Society property offers a quiet contrast to the town’s busy streets, with paths that encourage close attention to birds, plants and seasonal changes.
The sanctuary trails and museum have different schedules: trails are available from dawn to dusk, while indoor visits follow the posted museum hours. Keep to the marked routes and follow the sanctuary’s wildlife rules. The photograph shows the museum entrance; a trail visit does not guarantee access to the interior.
