Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park provides a Mississippi River landscape with walking and cycling routes, picnic facilities and opportunities to watch river wildlife.

The Anoka County side includes a visitor center and access to regional trails.
The photograph shows an earlier actual ride along the dam walkway. That walkway is closed for maintenance October 12–30, 2026, so check current reopening information before planning a river crossing. Other park areas have their own access arrangements. A vehicle entry permit is required. Follow posted route and water-safety directions, respect wildlife and verify any seasonal facility or program availability before your visit.
Visitor details reviewed October 26, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
