Cow Meadow Park and Preserve
- Nature reserve
- Regional draw
- Freeport
Cow Meadow Park and Preserve combines wetland scenery with recreation space on Freeport’s southern waterfront.

Paths introduce visitors to a landscape of salt marsh and tidal creeks, while developed activity areas serve a different kind of outdoor outing.
Use the Village of Freeport’s current park information: ownership has transferred from Nassau County. Choose an entrance and activity area before arrival, and check requirements for reserved spaces, boating and organized sports. The photograph shows a past park visit rather than current tide or path conditions. Remain on public routes around sensitive wetland habitat.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
