Davenport Motor Row and Industrial Historic District preserves buildings connected with the city’s commercial, industrial and transportation history.

Older business blocks along the eastern downtown streets show the scale and architectural character of a changing urban economy. The photograph shows actual buildings on East Second Street.
Use the National Register map to plan an exterior walk through the designated blocks. Current businesses and occupants set their own access arrangements, and historic designation grants no general interior admission. Keep entrances and loading routes clear, use public sidewalks and check current street-work notices. Arrange any separately advertised architecture or local-history tour directly with its organizer.
Visitor details reviewed October 27, 2026. Consult primary place information for background, and confirm current access and operating arrangements before visiting. View on OpenStreetMap.
