Elgin Fire Barn No.

5 Museum preserves a historic fire station and a collection connected with the city’s firefighting service. Vehicles, equipment, photographs and uniforms trace changes in emergency response over time.
The photograph shows the actual fire barn exterior. The museum publishes weekend afternoon opening, while group tours require contact in advance. Confirm current hours and the correct St. Charles Street entrance before travelling. Donations support the museum’s work. Special programs and commemorations have their own calendars, and viewing the building from outside does not include access when the museum is closed.
