Fox River Trolley Museum in South Elgin preserves historic electric-railway equipment and offers scheduled rides.

The collection and operating route provide a way to explore the region’s transit history beside the Fox River.
The regular 2026 season has ended, while the operator advertises a separate holiday trolley event. Use the current schedule and tickets to choose an operating date before travelling to 365 South La Fox Street. The photograph shows historic museum equipment in an earlier period, rather than a vehicle guaranteed on every ride. Confirm the train, boarding and event arrangements for the date selected.
Visitor details reviewed October 26, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
