The Viking Ship in Geneva preserves the replica that sailed from Norway to Chicago for the 1893 Columbian Exposition.

Its covered display provides a close encounter with a vessel connected to both maritime history and the world’s fair.
Friends of the Viking Ship offer docent-led visits on selected published dates at Good Templar Park. Check the current schedule and admission before travelling, since the exhibit is not a daily walk-in museum. The photograph shows the actual preserved ship beneath its protective shelter. Tours and special group visits have their own arrangements, and access does not include permission to board or handle the historic vessel.
Visitor details reviewed October 26, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
