Elgin History Museum presents the city's heritage in the historic Old Main building.

Objects, photographs, and interpreted stories connect local industries, neighborhoods, and community life with the people who shaped them. The former academy setting is itself part of the historical experience rather than a purpose-built modern gallery block.
Check current museum hours and exhibition information before arriving on Park Street. Research requests, school visits, and group programs should be arranged separately. Allow time for the local interpretation, and confirm accessibility needs with museum staff if historic-building routes may affect your visit.
