Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary provides a home for rescued wild and domestic animals that cannot simply return to the wild.

Paths through its wooded setting connect animal habitats with interpretation about care, individual histories and responsible behavior around animals.
Public hours change between the warmer and cooler seasons, and weather or poor air quality can cause temporary closure. Check the city’s latest information before arriving. Allow time to read the animals’ stories and accept that some residents may be resting out of sight. Guided groups require separate advance arrangements.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
