Maidu Museum and Historic Site interprets the Nisenan Maidu heritage of the Roseville area through museum displays and an outdoor archaeological landscape.

The trail connects visitors with bedrock mortars and other evidence of long use of the place by Indigenous communities.
Check the city’s current opening and admission arrangements for both the museum and trail. Stay on permitted routes and do not touch, climb or disturb archaeological features. The photograph shows bedrock grinding holes within the historic site, a component of the museum visit rather than its indoor galleries.
