Fort Nisqually Living History Museum interprets nineteenth-century life and trade on Puget Sound in Tacoma’s Point Defiance Park.

Reconstructed buildings and preserved original structures form a separately ticketed museum destination within the larger public park.
The photograph shows the historic granary during an earlier visit. Museum entry follows its own seasonal opening and admission arrangements; general park access does not include admission to the fort. Workshops, guided activities and special evening programs may require separate reservations. Check the current museum calendar, weather notices and accessible visitor information before travelling, and allow time to explore the interpretation.
