Fort Stamford Park combines the remains of a Revolutionary War earthwork with the later Goodbody Garden.

The low surviving mounds require a little imagination, while the formal garden and planting beds provide a more visible layer of the site's history. Together they make a quiet outdoor stop in Stamford's Westover area.
Expect an archaeological landscape rather than a standing fort or a staffed military museum. Garden displays change with the seasons, and paths may be uneven or wet. Respect planted areas and historic earthworks. Check city arrangements in advance for weddings, group gatherings, or other uses that require a permit.
