Ho‘omaluhia Botanical Garden brings tropical plant collections, water and mountain scenery together in Kāne‘ohe.

Its broad landscape at the foot of the Ko‘olau Mountains offers a different setting from Honolulu’s urban gardens.
The garden has a weekly Thursday closure beginning in 2026. Check current city information for other opening arrangements, road work and any changes to visitor access or fees. The photograph shows trees and waterside planting during an earlier visit rather than present weather. Use designated parking and paths, keep vehicle lanes clear and arrange any permit-based activities separately.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
