Lyon Arboretum
- Botanical garden
- Regional draw
- Honolulu
Lyon Arboretum occupies a lush setting at the upper end of Mānoa Valley, where the University of Hawaiʻi maintains diverse tropical plant collections.

Paths through the landscape introduce an environment very different from Honolulu's drier coastal districts. The visit rewards close observation of foliage, growing conditions, and the relationship between cultivated collections and the valley.
Check current reservation requirements, trail access, and weather notices before traveling. Wear footwear suited to wet ground, stay on designated routes, and follow any plant-health and environmental guidance issued by the arboretum.
Visitor details reviewed October 17, 2026. Check [official visitor information](http://www.hawaii.edu/lyonarboretum/) for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
