Hoover Park offers neighborhood recreation space beside Matadero Creek in Palo Alto.

A playground, sports areas and walking routes share the grounds with trees and a distinctive dry watercourse lined with boulders.
The photograph shows the actual park landscape. Named for Herbert Hoover, the park developed as recreational space south of Oregon Expressway in the mid-twentieth century. Consult current city notices for court or field access and any maintenance restrictions. Group gatherings and organized games may need separate arrangements. The former decorative creek is dry, so do not expect a flowing water feature. Respect neighboring properties and shared paths.
