Hunter Museum of American Art occupies a bluff-top complex overlooking the Tennessee River in Chattanooga.

Its historic mansion and later additions create a distinctive setting for American art from different periods. The photograph shows the original mansion component rather than the full modern entrance and gallery complex.
Check current exhibitions, opening hours, and admission before arriving at Bluff View Avenue. Outdoor sculpture and river views are different from ticketed gallery access. Tours and events may require separate reservations; use the museum's current entrance and accessibility instructions to plan movement between its buildings.
