Kansas Aviation Museum occupies Wichita's former municipal airport terminal, giving its aircraft collections a historic aviation setting.

The terminal architecture and exhibits connect the city's manufacturing identity with the experience of air travel. Outdoor aircraft and indoor displays offer complementary parts of the visit.
Check current admission, opening hours, and any restrictions on outdoor access before arriving. Tours and special events may have separate arrangements. Use designated museum entrances and follow staff guidance around aircraft; cockpit or restoration-area access should be confirmed rather than assumed.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
