Los Altos History Museum explores the changing communities and landscape of the Santa Clara Valley.

Its museum complex combines exhibitions with the historic J. Gilbert Smith House and gardens, connecting orchard-era life with later growth and technological change.
The photograph shows the Smith House within the museum complex during an earlier visit. General admission is free, with regular afternoon opening on selected days and holiday closures. Check the current calendar for gallery exhibitions, house access and guided programs before travelling. Special activities can have separate registration, and group visits and accessibility requirements should be arranged directly with the museum.
