Redwood Grove Nature Preserve offers a small woodland escape in Los Altos beside Adobe Creek.

Redwood trees planted in the 1920s shade boardwalks, while restoration areas include riparian vegetation, oak woodland and native meadow.
The preserve entrance is at 482 University Avenue. Grassroots Ecology lists free entry and limited street parking, with additional parking and restrooms at nearby Shoup Park. Bring drinking water and take care on wooden boardwalks when wet. Stay on visitor routes around restoration areas and be alert for marked poison oak. The photograph shows the redwood grove itself; these trees were planted here rather than forming a naturally occurring coastal redwood forest.
Visitor details reviewed October 26, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
