Esther Clark Park preserves a small landscape of grassland and trees in Palo Alto’s foothill area.

Kept as open space rather than a formal sports park, it offers a quiet place for a short walk and views toward the evening sky.
The photograph shows an actual tree and trail setting in the park. Use current city preserve information to choose the access point and confirm opening or temporary restrictions. Paths are not uniformly paved, so select a route that suits your group. Follow the preserve’s current rules for dogs, bicycles and habitat protection. This is a natural open-space visit with limited developed facilities.
Visitor details reviewed October 26, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
