The Morrow Plots preserve a long-running agricultural experiment on the University of Illinois campus in Urbana.

Established in 1876, the research site connects today’s campus landscape with generations of work on crops, soil and farming practices.
View the plots from permitted campus paths and interpretation points without entering planted research areas. This is an active scientific site rather than a public picking garden. The photograph shows the historic marker and the edge of the plots within the surrounding campus, with crops and research conditions changing over time.
