Nankin Mills Interpretive Center occupies a historic grist mill in Westland.

Its setting connects the Rouge River’s natural environment with local industry, settlement and the history of the surrounding communities.
The photograph shows the mill exterior during an earlier visit. The first-floor displays remain open during current renovations, while the second and third floors are closed. Check the latest county visitor information before travelling, as older listings describe a larger exhibition area and different hours. Educational programs require separate arrangements. Confirm accessibility and the particular activity you want before making a special journey.
