North Mountain Park combines recreation space with demonstration gardens, nature trails and stream habitat beside Bear Creek in Ashland.

Interpretive features and a nature play area provide ways for families to explore the landscape as well as simply walk through it.
The photograph shows a thrush observed in this actual park; wildlife sightings vary. Use designated routes and keep a respectful distance from animals. The grounds have broader access than the nature center, which opens on selected days. Classes and guided activities require separate arrangements. Dogs are excluded from the park to protect wildlife, and visitors should respect restoration planting and posted notices.
