The Oklahoma History Center places the state's history in a substantial museum near the State Capitol.

Exhibits use objects, photographs, and personal stories to connect communities, transportation, industry, and public life, offering a broader picture than a single landmark can provide. The surrounding grounds extend aspects of the interpretation outside.
Allow several hours and select the themes most relevant to your interests. Check current exhibitions and visitor arrangements before arriving, and leave time to connect the indoor displays with any outdoor features that are open.
Visitor details reviewed October 17, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
