Olmsted-Urban House in Urbandale preserves a farmhouse setting associated with families who helped shape the city.

The historical society maintains the house and collections to interpret life during the 1920s and early 1930s.
The photograph shows the actual four-square house exterior. Contact the Urbandale Historical Society to confirm a house visit and current access before travelling to 70th Street. Its public talks can take place at the library rather than here, so check each event’s venue carefully. A scheduled society program does not automatically include entry to the historic rooms.
