Pardee Home Museum preserves an Italianate residence associated with several generations of a prominent Oakland family.

Domestic collections and the house's architecture provide an intimate view of nineteenth- and twentieth-century life. The photograph is an archival view of the house rather than a record of its exact current appearance.
Check current home-tour availability and book the advertised experience before arriving. Teas and private events have separate arrangements from ordinary tours. Ask about accessibility for the historic rooms and follow staff instructions around furnishings; the house should not be assumed open for unscheduled walk-in visits.
