Point State Park occupies Pittsburgh's river confluence at the tip of the downtown Golden Triangle.

Its open landscape and fountain create a recognizable waterfront destination, while interpretation connects the site with the strategic importance of the Forks of the Ohio during the French and Indian War.
Walk toward the point and allow time to look back at the city as well as out over the rivers. Fountain operation and nearby indoor historic attractions have their own schedules. Consult state park notices for current access and remember that changing weather can affect an exposed riverfront walk.
