Sanborn County Park protects wooded slopes in the Santa Cruz Mountains near Saratoga.
Its trail network and picnic setting offer a substantial outdoor destination beyond the valley floor, with routes suited to different lengths of outing.
Choose an entrance and route from the county’s current park map, and check parking restrictions, trail notices and reservation requirements. The photograph shows Lake Ranch Reservoir within the park rather than a designated swimming facility. Camping and reserved activities need separate arrangements. Carry water, stay on marked trails and do not treat a view of the reservoir as permission for water access.
