Twin Lakes State Beach offers a sandy shoreline beside Santa Cruz’s small-craft harbor.

Beach walking and picnicking can be combined with views of the harbor entrance, while nearby Schwan Lake adds a different setting for birdwatching.
The photograph shows the actual beach and harbor light. Check current state-park notices, tides and parking arrangements before choosing an access point. Ocean conditions vary, and seasonal services should be confirmed separately. Beach wheelchairs can be requested through the local state-parks partner, with advance arrangements recommended. Remain on permitted routes around sensitive lagoon areas and follow posted rules for dogs, fires and water access.
