Upper Bidwell Park

Trails, rocky terrain and views along Big Chico Creek distinguish this area from the more shaded, landscaped reaches closer to downtown.

Choose a route using the city’s current trail information and check closures before setting out, particularly following fire, rain or maintenance work. Terrain and permitted uses vary by trail, so match the outing to your experience and equipment. Bring water and allow for exposed conditions; this part of the park offers a substantial outdoor outing within reach of the city.
