Washington Park Arboretum brings an extensive collection of trees and shrubs together with gardens, wetlands and natural areas beside Lake Washington in Seattle.

Paths connect different plant collections and seasonal displays, offering several options for a short garden walk or a longer exploration.
General arboretum access is free, while the separate Seattle Japanese Garden charges admission and has its own seasonal schedule. Visitor-center services and restrooms have more limited opening hours than the grounds. Consult the current map and project notices, choose a route suited to the terrain and leave plants undisturbed.
Visitor details reviewed October 27, 2026. Consult primary place information for background, and confirm current access and operating arrangements before visiting. View on OpenStreetMap.
