West Washington–North Hi-Mount Boulevards Historic District preserves a planned residential streetscape in Milwaukee.

Classical, Colonial and Tudor Revival houses reflect the architectural ambitions of the area’s early-twentieth-century development.
The photograph shows an actual boulevard streetscape within the district. Follow public sidewalks using National Register boundaries around Washington and Hi-Mount boulevards. The houses remain occupied, and historic designation grants no entry to gardens, porches or interiors. Street planting and residential frontages are best appreciated without leaving public routes. Respect residents’ privacy, keep entrances clear and arrange any announced architecture tour independently.
