Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area brings a historic lighthouse, rocky shoreline and coastal habitats together on a headland in Newport.

Trails and interpretation allow visitors to explore different parts of the site, from viewpoints to carefully managed tidepool areas.
Use the Bureau of Land Management’s current visitor information for entrance arrangements, tides and route conditions. Lighthouse interior access is limited and should be checked at the interpretive center. The photograph shows the headland and lighthouse from a coastal viewpoint rather than unrestricted access to every cliff, shore or building.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
