Beach homes and canal homes
Visit Ventura’s Pierpont and South Seaward overview describes beachfront housing alongside Ventura Keys, where some single-family residences have boat docks. These are different residential settings within the wider coastal area. Ventura Keys is the canal setting, while the Pierpont beach approaches lead toward the Pacific shoreline.
Beach access and public facilities
The city parking page lists a beach-end lot on Seaward Avenue and public street parking in Pierpont. San Buenaventura State Beach provides restrooms, showers and picnic facilities; State Parks allows dogs in its day-use area but not on its beach. The park’s published hours run from 7 a.m. to sunset.
Marina Park as a separate destination
The city parks directory lists Marina Park at 3000 Pierpont Boulevard, with picnic facilities, playgrounds, outdoor showers and free lot parking. It is a public park, distinct from the surrounding homes and from the separately managed Ventura Harbor parking areas.
Sand and infrastructure updates
In October 2026, the city announced a Pierpont Beach Management Plan addressing sand management and potential living-shoreline designs. This is planning work, rather than a completed shoreline project.
The city’s Pierpont and Bayshore incident FAQ says sewer replacement beneath Monmouth Way began in July 2026 and was scheduled to finish in October. The same notice says Harbor Sinclair-related cleanup and monitoring remain ongoing under the regional water board. As checked October 25, the notice does not confirm the sewer work is complete. The city also reports no known impacts to beaches or other waterways in that FAQ; these statements describe the notice, rather than a property-specific assessment.
